Spring Bathroom Transformation
I love for every room in our home to feel clean, calm, and put together. But if there’s one space I absolutely cannot dwell in when it’s disorganized—it’s the bathroom.
Both of our bathrooms are long overdue for a remodel. But right now, that’s not where we are—and you know what? That’s okay. Even without knocking down walls or splurging on a luxury shower, I’ve found a few simple, budget-friendly ways to make our bathroom feel fresh, functional, and peaceful again. If I can’t expand the space or bring in that dreamy spa tub just yet, the next best thing is transforming what I have to work with. And honestly? A good deep clean and a few intentional swaps go a long way.
So, if you’re in a similar place and longing for a bit of transformation, here are 3 simple hacks I use to create what I call a Spring Bathroom Transformation—no remodel or big spending required:
1. Deep Clean Like You Mean It
Start fresh with a serious scrub-down—no shortcuts!
Clean behind the toilet, under the sink, and inside drawers
Wipe baseboards, light switches, and vents
Use natural cleaners or your favorite go-to for a fresh, clean scent
Don’t forget mirrors, light fixtures, and cabinet handles
2. Clear the Clutter + Rethink Storage
Out with the old, and organize what’s left.
Toss expired products and anything you no longer use
Use small bins, baskets, and drawer dividers for neat storage
Group items by type (hair, skincare, hygiene, etc.)
Keep everyday items easily accessible and tucked away
3. Swap the Decor, Refresh the Vibe
Small changes can completely transform the feel of your space.
Replace the shower curtain with something light and fresh
Use soft, coordinating towels to brighten the room
Add a soap dispenser or matching bathroom accessories
Bring in a plant, a simple candle, or a small piece of art
Bonus Hack: Mold-Fighting Plants
Did you know that some houseplants can help fight bathroom mold? According to a video I watched, some plants can reduce mold by up to 90%! I haven’t tried it yet, but I plan to (we sometimes get mold in our upstairs bathroom). In addition to that, I love plants!
Here are three to consider:
Ferns
Peace Lilies
English Ivy
If you’ve struggled with moisture or mold, this could be a natural way to add freshness and function. But do your research; as I mentioned, I haven't tried it yet.
💡 Don’t Forget to Journal Those Wins
Yes, cleaning your bathroom is absolutely journal-worthy. Resetting your space is a form of care for your home and yourself.
As you check off those to-dos and breathe easier in your refreshed space, take a moment to reflect. How did it make you feel? What energy are you bringing into this new season?
Even small progress is worth recording. A clean bathroom today might provide the clarity you need for something bigger tomorrow.
Coming Up Next: The Kitchen
Next week, I’ll share spring cleaning and organization tips for the kitchen—my most-used room and the one the kids seem to disappear from when it’s time to clean up (lol).
Until Next Time,
