Spring Kitchen Refresh

If your family is anything like mine, the kitchen is more than just a place to cook and eat. It’s a gathering space, a meeting room, a playroom, and sometimes even a creative zone for homeschool projects and late-night snacks. With all that multi-use (and a little overuse), this space usually needs a good spring refresh by this time of year.
If that sounds like your kitchen, too, here’s a simple four-step plan to help you tackle it—one area at a time.
4-Step Simple Kitchen Refresh Plan
1. Clear & Clean the Cupboards
Empty one cupboard at a time.
Toss expired items and donate what you don’t use.
Wipe down shelves and organize items by category for easy access.
2. Refresh the Refrigerator
Remove all food items.
Wipe down shelves, drawers, and doors with warm soapy water.
Restock by grouping similar items together and adding a fresh box of baking soda to absorb odors.
3. Clean the Stove & Surrounding Area
Wipe down stovetop, burners, knobs, and backsplash.
Deep clean inside the oven if needed.
Don’t forget to clean under the stove and behind it if possible!
4. Finish with the Floors
Sweep and mop thoroughly.
Shake out or wash any kitchen rugs.
Add a soft touch like a new mat, small rug, or plant to brighten the space.
Bonus Hack: Teaching Kids to Help Keep the Kitchen Organized
Since the kitchen is often the most overused space in the house (especially with little hands everywhere), I’ve found a simple hack that helps keep things in somewhat good order. Give everything a home. When every item has a clear place where it belongs — from snacks to cups to utensils — it’s easier for kids (and adults!) to help clean up and stay organized.
Labels, baskets, or even pictures for younger children can turn clean-up time into a routine everyone can follow.
It doesn’t have to be perfect — just purposeful.
Remember — one step at a time is all it takes. Give yourself grace and space to create a fresh, functional, and peaceful kitchen.
This is the PERFECT project fr you..You been Mrs.Clean since an adolescent lol 😂 thnx fr the tips❣️
