Dear Journal-Natures Healing

Dear J,

I couldn’t wait to write to you today. I had the most amazing time with my children on Saturday. We spent hours outside, just playing—laughing, running, and letting the day unfold however it wanted to. We played everything from O.U.T out and dodgeball to freeze tag. By the time the sun started to set, I was completely exhausted, but I felt great!!

It’s funny how this kind of tiredness doesn’t weigh you down—it lifts you up. I think it’s because of the pure joy of being with my children and how nature knows how to heal you. Fresh air, laughter, and wide-open spaces—it’s nature’s medicine, no prescription needed.

Saturday also reminded me that joy is simple. It’s in the small things—the sound of giggles carried by the wind, the sun's warmth on my skin, the feeling of grass beneath my feet. And maybe that’s the secret: stepping outside and playing like a child in nature is the best remedy when life feels overwhelming.

What a blessed day!

Takeaway: Nature doesn’t rush, doesn’t demand—it simply offers its peace, if we’re willing to receive it. Breathe in, slow down, and let nature do what it does best—heal.

Until next time!

Love,

Mel
